In the hopes that I would not (once more) buy something just before it was upgraded, it would be beneficial to see some information and/or informed guesses as to when Apple will come out with a 3.25" drive with increased capacity. At the present time the Apple holds 800K, the IBM 1.4 meg and for the longest time there have been rumors that a 1.6 meg Apple drive was just around the corner; just how far is it to the corner? As a sidelight, I just read that Toshieba is testing, in Japan, a 4 meg 3.25" drive that uses vertical rather than horizontal magnetization. The article said there were no immediate plans to market it in this country. -- Joe Walters ihnp4!ihlpf!bird IHP 1F-240 (312) 416-5356
