There will NOT be a GS+, or any new GS for that matter introduced at Applefest this year.. In fact, as I see it, the entire GS+ story was a fable as the unit does not seem to exist at this time.. I do NOT expect to see any new CPU at Applefest other than a spiced up //c that remains 8 bit, but that is more of an upgrade than a new CPU. A little faster, and a smaller disk drive, that's about it.. I guess that when Sculley said no new CPU'S this year, he meant the entire year, not the fiscal year as many had hoped.. One bit on the brighter side, keep an eye out for HYPER-STUDIO. It will be the GS version of Hyper-card, and while it will not work with Mac stacks, it will allow sound storage in the stacks.. While it will be demoed at 'fest, I do not expect to see finished product available until later this year.. It must be quite good though, as it has Roger Wagner walking around looking like a proud new father..
