HyperStudio, according to discussions with Roger and others, appears to be a hyper media product. It is NOT HyperCard. That is, you can import Appleworks and a few other text file types, you can do a lot of things with graphics screens, but there is no hyper talk language (at least not supposedly at first), and I dont know even when its scripting language compiler does come available if it will be able to access external functions, etc. (ie I mean that I dont know if that has been decided). I have heard a LOT of good things about this product. And since the Apple port of HyperCard is coming along slowly, and might not EVER reach the light of day (see Apple's MacBasic for an example of THAT) folks shouldnt shy away from HS just because it isnt HC compatible. Estimated list price is n the low $100-$150 range the last I heard. -- Larry W.
