 I don't know of any programmer's guides per se, but the Apple II User's
Guide in conjunction with Beneath Apple Prodos is very useful.  If
you want to use Dos 3.3, APDA has an old Dos 3.3 Programmer's Manual
listed ($10) in its latest catalog.  I still find the Apple II
Reference Manual that came with my original II+ occasionally
indispensable.  (Why doesn't Apple include decent documentation
with its machines anymore?)
