For whatever its worth, Microport doesn't use VP/ix perferring instead DosMerge from Locus. I'ved used the beta release on the 386 and was very happy with it which did a reasonable job of DOS on dumb terminals. Everything we tried worked well except for the Multimate print spooler and I never really looked into it...I'm sure there was a work around.
