I then bought a Rodime drive and used FastBack (their backup program that comes with their drive) to back it up. CRUNCH! FastBack ate the Rodime and the other SCSI drive online at the time. They were mostly brought back with SUM, but I was more than a little upset. Rodime said it was a compatabilty problem with FastBack and the Dove SCSI port, and then the dealer said that there was a compatability problem between Rodime drives (turns out that it is ANY drive with Rodime internals, like Jasmine to name another one) and Dove. Before my little mishap I used a Warp 9 Photon 20 and FastBack and had no problems. The only thing it could be was the Rodime, the Dove SCSI port and FastBack all at the same time. I would like to say, however, that everything was fine before the Rodime, so as long as you stay away from Rodime drives you should be pretty safe with your new "Mac+". I hope this keeps you out of any trouble/data loss. Mark Cookson
