I use Quicken.  It is cheap, easy to use, and flexible.  It does allow
you to do some tax-related things (I don't use it however, so I don't
know how useful the tax stuff is).

I have it write my monthly checks for me and everything, works great!

I think its something like $49 from Egghead software and equivalent
retail places.  Much cheaper than D&S.
