Turbo doesn't optimize the units, so your XCMDs/XFCNs end up being very large. But if you still want to do so, the resource headers that are needed to compile the XCMD/XFCN code units is available either on GEnie or Compuserve or both. b.bum I originally compiled SmartScan, an XCMD in a commercial product called "Organizer+", under Turbo and it was around 12,750 bytes... under MPW it is around 1700.
