Summary: Is it 'thumb' or 'scroll box' Message-ID: <6195@spool.cs.wisc.edu> Date: 1 Sep 88 05:25:25 GMT Sender: news@spool.cs.wisc.edu Reply-To: engber@speedy.cs.wisc.edu (Mike Engber) Organization: U of Wisconsin CS Dept Lines: 10 I'd like to know what the 'official' name is for the small box in the standard scroll bars. IM I uses the term 'scroll box' in the interface guidlines and 'thumb' in the control manager section. User manuals use 'scroll box'. Personally I prefer the term thumb as it's more descriptive. Scroll box sounds more descriptive of the scrollable list manger boxes. Please reply email -ME
