The original notewriter indicates that he has a very limited set of needs that's satisfied by the HP laserjet. My own group needs much more extensive graphics capabilities than the standard HP laserjet is capable of. If you don't expect to need features other than those available in the cheaper (but highly reputable) machine, then you shouldn't spend the extra money. But don't assume that nobody else has needs greater than your own.
