no no no.  sleep's original diagnostic was simply `bad character':

i totally agree.  here are various, far funnier responses:

	Out of phase--get help
	BAD SUPER BLOCK: MAGIC NUMBER WRONG
	Reboot failed...help!
	NFS server bleah not responding still trying
	panic: exit

and the perennial favorite

	segmentation violation - core dumped
