To answer my own posting, I found that the various CCITT standards documents
can be obtained from the following two sources:

	NTIS	(703) 487-4600		(division of Dept of Commerce :-( )
	OMNICON (800) 666-4266

Both organizations take credit card orders.

The documents which cover the V.xx modem standards and G.x Fax standards are
"Redbook" volumes 8.1 and 7.3 respectively.  The bad news is that the 8.1
document is undergoing revision and is currently unavailable.  If anyone has
a copy of 8.1 and would be willing to photocopy the V.22, V.29, and V.32 modem
standards I would be quite happy to reimburse any reasonable xeroxing charge.

PS.  If anyone else has pointers to other organizations that sell CCITT docs
     I would truly appreciate hearing about them.  Really need the 8.1 doc!
