I get to teach our senior level required course in computer architecture
(for the first time in MANY years) whose prerequisites include both computer
organization and assembly language. 20 years ago, Bell and Newell would have
been appropriate, and 10 years ago, Harold Stone's book would have been
appropriate. I need suggestions on what books to consider. Please MAIL your
suggestions with any justification to me. I will summarize in a month or so.
