ISI, part of the computer science department at USC, has available a LISP-pased "grapher." Gabe Robins is the person responsible for implementing, and also developing, the algorithms, and has done a superb job. It is written in Common Lisp, and currently runs on HPs, Lisp machines, TI Explorers, etc. The graphics calls for the HP version are X, so it is really quite portable.
