Allow the designer to continue improve the language without the commercial interests and the rampant featurism of committees. C++ is growing slowly but surely; yes, I'd like to see parametrized classes and incremental compilation soon, but not if it means loss of efficiency or transparity. C++ should remain a 'better C'.
