$999 is news to me.  My checkbook says I bought the compiler from UniPress
Software for *$99*, not $999.  That means I paid a hundred dollars, not
a thousand.  Either that, or my next stop will be in bankruptcy
court.   ;-)

P.S.  I do fork over a thousand dollars with a fair amount of pain ---
try pricing rental apartments in and around New York City.  :-(
