In that article, I wrote: >The latest IBM-PC/MS-DOS UUPC is available for download at van-bc.UUCP ... What I forgot to say was how long the file in question, "interim.arc", is, so that people can figure out approximately how much phone time the transfer is going to take before they call. Here is the information: The file "interim.arc" is 184,028 bytes long, and should be transfered in "binary" mode if you are using [XYZ]MODEM. It will take around 30 minutes at 1200 baud, about 15 mintues at 2400 baud, and around four (4) minutes if you call in with Telebit Trailblazer Plus' PEP mode at 9600 baud or higher. Also a reminder to the direct UUCP callers that the directory the "interim.arc" file is in is "~/uupc", not "~/uucp" . ^^ ^^ ...Sam (UUPC release 2.0 co-ordinator) -- Samuel Lam {alberta,watmath,uw-beaver,ubc-vision}!ubc-cs!van-bc!skl
