Yesterday, during my weekly "where is it?" call, I was told that "Seagate is having trouble with the cabling (!?) on the ST277N's and there's a nation-wide backlog." "Oh", I said. Then today I saw Scott's posting with the phone number for First Stop Computers (I had looked for them before, but they weren't in the Computer Shopper issue that I bought). "What the hell, I'll call them just to check." What did they say? "Quantity one price? $427 + $5 maximum shipping. How many do you want? Yes we have them in stock. Have it to you in a couple of days." I then called Lyco and told them to blow it out their... well, you get the picture. Thanks again, Scott. ( Work for First Stop? I don't even know where they ARE! ) -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jim Berry | UUCP:{arizona, decvax, hao}!noao!stsci!berry Space Telescope Science Institute | ARPA: berry@stsci.edu Baltimore, Md. 21218 | SPAM: SCIVAX::BERRY, KEPLER::BERRY
