When it comes to locating all available disk devices,
MG2A (formerly MicroGnuEmacs) has a very interesting feature.  If you
select the "Disks" item in the menu, it lists all the disk devices, the
volumes that are or had been mounted, and all the ASSIGN devices.
For instance, it put all the following in the pull-down menu:
  DF0:  DF2:  VD0:  RAM: 
  Joe's Workbench:
  AmigaLibDisk147:
  AmigaLibDisk131: 
  RAM Disk: ASDG-RAM:
  dh: c: d: S: L: 
  FONTS: LIBS: DEVS: SYS:
