But what I wouldn't want to see is a 'Unix' fix to shut: if you are root you can, otherwise you can't. We have a situation similar to the one described by Dave and we would like to prevent people from shutting down 'important' nodes, BUT I don't want to prevent some happy Apollo owner from shutting down his/her machine !
