Does anyone have experience doing IPC (Inter-Process Communication)
between PC applications and UNIX processes?  I have no background 
or knowledged in this at all, and am curious how difficult it is,
etc, etc ..  

I imagine (?) that what I am looking for is similar to the way PC/NFS
works ..   A daemon running under UNIX waiting for a query from the
PC on the network ..  ?

Any info would be appreciated via E/Mail ...
