Hi, there

Can someone tell me in what format AUTOCAD (whatever version) writes
it's drawings to the disk (in detail) ?

I would like to write some TURBO Pascal programs to interpret the drawings,
maybe compute dimensions, perimeters or areas. I tried to find the format 
myself by making small drawings and examining the files, but this is very
boring and it doesn't work.

If you know a book, an article or some other reference to the format of
the DWG-files please let me know :
