I have FANSI-CONSOLE and (at least the version I )have) screws up the graphics mode of my Zenith EGA video card. The ANSI.SYS )that comes with the Zenith 386 works okay with PC/VI but doesn't allow )PC/VI to use al and dl (TERMCAP for add line and delete line) which makes )screen updating much less optimal. I think I've tried NANSI.SYS and )ANSIIBM.SYS with no better success. Any tips ? Please email responses. An update. I tried NANSI.SYS again and found that it does work using only al and dl -- using AL and DL hangs the machine. However, it also only works once. The second invocation of PC/VI freezes the keyboard. In addition, using NANSI.SYS hangs the program NSWP (a handy directory and ARC file browser). It seems to fail on highlighting (ESC [7m I think). ) Cheers, ) Dan Ts'o 212-570-7671 ) Dept.
