The toshiba 3.5" drive kit is available in this price range from eletro-tek in Chicago, and has standard power connectors and 34-pin card edge. This should be a direct replacement form a 5.25 inch half height. You will have to redo your disk parameter tables to take advantage of the new drive ( 2 sides, 80 tracks, 18 sectors/track ). .
