This is true. Standard model of Mac is sold with 2MB memory.

There are some programs to help you to input Japanse which is a program called
Kana-Kanji conversion. I use Turbo-Jip myself and like it very much.

There are two other programs that you may note. They are Ninja-Term and KT
Enhacer. Former is a japanese terminal enulator and the latter is Kanji-Talk
enhancer which will speed up your Japanese processing programs. Both of them
are PDS and created by Ariza-san.
