Do you have to _boot_ off the floppy? This would seem to point to an INIT
(like Vaccine, or the like) preventing the disk writting from happening.

A similar problem happened to a programmer here - He couldn't figure out
why his MPW Links would hang. The reason: Vaccine was installed with the
expert display on, which he wasn't seeing.

*sigh*
