That should make a difference in the peformance. If you decide to just get a new SCSI drive Jasmine in my opinion is an excellent choice. And I currrently recommend Mass Micro 45meg removable cartridge drives, 25ms access time, very speedy, extra cartridges are about $100 and dropping in price it appears.
