When I see an ITC person these days (I'm in Computer Science, and I don't even track what they do), I say 'how about just getting a MacOS X11, so you don't have to write any more software' Although copying text may be more efficient than copying the font representation, do you REALLY want to write a Andrew FileSystem client for the MacOS.
