Lines: 22 A friend of mine is responsible for an Altos 2086 box running Xenix. They upgraded their disk from an 80MB to a 140MB a couple of months ago. Since then they have been having badblocks show up. The configuration is: Altos 2086, 4MB memory, Xenix 3.4b Maxtor 1140 It seems to me that once you get the badblock list set when you install that you should not normally see any more badblocks. I know I have never seen this problem with Xenix on a PC/AT. Does anyone have any insight into this, or suggestions as to what I should look at/for? Any help is appreciated. -- Brian Beattie | (703)471-7552 MSDOS/OS2 | 11525 Hickory Cluster, Reston, VA. 22090 - just say no! | beattie@visenix.UU.NET | ...uunet!visenix!beattie
