I hate to see all this anti hunting stuff come in this group. . So much is said by such groups about hunters and hunting. . We are not talking illegal hunting.... But I am! The area in question is within city limits, and is "dedicated open space". The "hunting" and discharge of firearms in the area is _illegal, and highly dangerous being that homes, roads and a golf course are well within the range of an errant bullet. Most of the potential "targets" are off limits anywayy! . .... much deleted about the merits of _legal_ hunting... I agree that on a _case_by_case_ basis legal and controlled hunting can be a boon to nature. What concerns me is the indiscriminate use of firearms in prohibited areas by person/s that have no idea what they are doing...as in "hunting" ground squirrels with a .44 magnum! I don't like gun control, I have nothing against _legal_ hunting, but I've got this real problem with idiots going out and playing weekend Rambo in an area that is neither set aside nor appropriate for this usage. I hope that clarifies my position somewhat. Sto lat; Chip ,, *** SOLIDARNOSC *** -- Chip Kozy (415) 939-2400 @ Varian 2700 Mitchell Dr. Walnut Creek, Cal. 94598 ...!pacbell!varian!vaxwaller!chip
