Note three complications:

	1. The GNU stuff is ***NOT*** public domain.

	2. It tends to be huge.

	3. It really knows it's on a 32-bit machine.

These are not necessarily fatal problems, although #3 may be a problem for
wider-word machines, but they are worth concern.
