Odd, here's the mail I received today:

    Steven,
        The offer has expired.  But, please be aware that there
    is a NEW Telebit product-- the T1000.  This is a low-cost, 9600
    baud, modem.  Full uucp/kermit/xmodem/ymodem support.  No comp-
    ression.  List price is $795.  This might just make the 2400 bauds
    obsolete!
