Lines: 34 Over the weekend I was hijacked ("Hey I just got back from vacation!..") to the Hacker's Conference. Ed Catmull showed up for the world premiere showing of Tin Toy. Without spoiling you, it's not bad! I think there were one or two slight changes in the beginning. Several reviewings help. Note pictures of Luxo on the wall and the Pixar shopping bag (monster baby lives in Yuppie house). [Jaws music would not have been too bad.] [Oh, yes there were Newell teapots, too.] When we left our hero at SIGGRAPH Atlanta, he had just run into the "safety" of his packing box with the terror looming over head. He escapes (by a hair) to discover other characters (sympathizers), but creates a new problem with his nemesis. What should our hero do? Does it finally get caught? You will have to see! It has a typical "cute" "yuppie" ending. I better watch what I say, too many friends appearing by babies these days. I think many people thought the baby sneeze was well done. Everybody was trying to read the final credits about who's babies were used, and the interesting disclaimer at the end (about this film (bag) not being a toy). The sound is quite respectable. Many thought the rendering of the Sunset magazine was important. Other good works came from Leo Schwab (who reads and posts). He should best tell what he did.
