Do they honestly believe that what they supply in terms of runtime libraries is all you would ever need to talk to the machine? Or do they supply their versions of all of the libraries in /usr/lib on the Sun? Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the purpose of machine specific libraries to be able to develop programming that takes good advantage of the hardware/operating system? My recommendation? Run G++ (with your own libg++ (to get out of Stallman's strange copylefting)).
