There is a freeware program called "vscreen" which will give up to a 1000 x 1000 pixel screen size (not all visible at once). I use it regularly for wide emacs windows over dnet. This program probably won't work with 1.3 as it uses unofficial system calls. Interestingly, when using this program, wiconify only works when viewing the "home" portion of the screen (upper left corner). There are also various overscan programs like morerows which will give you a few more characters of line width. -don perley
