Under certain circumstances, I've done the following (although maybe in reverse): 1. Join a line 2. Decide you didn't want it joined and insert a newline in the appropriate place. It does garbage collection of some sort (flashes the free mem line at the bottom) and crashes. Obviously it doesn't happen every time, but if you find one occurance, it's totally reproducable if you can perform the same keystrokes after rebooting the machine..... (Not surprising.)
