The other day I was backing up a program with Marauder II and I noticed that the color scrolling seemed faster than normal. Sure enough, when I timed the time it took for a color to appear at the bottom of the screen and disappear from the top of the screen it took 30 seconds in 7mhz mode vs. 16 seconds in 14mhz mode. This is the biggest time difference I have found so far between the two speeds. A message to other PA owners: When I received my PA, I had the green screen and crashing problems. The cause of this is that the PA has very bad seating problems. It likes to squirm out of the socket, enough to make bad contact and cause problems with the system. To solve this, I scraped away a very thin layer on the inside of the pins and pressed VERY hard when putting it in the socket. It also helps to press down on the chips of the PA itself. I still have problems every now and then, but I just press on the board again and it works. This seems to remind me of the Agnes chip problems that some owners had. Does anyone know if there is a newer version since revision 3 of the PA? I have that revision (3) and I was wondering if the problems might have been solved with a newer revision.
