Message-ID: <1278@PSUECLB> Date: 8 Oct 88 16:12:24 GMT Organization: Engineering Computer Lab, Pennsylvania State University Lines: 17 Can anyone out there help me with a serial port handshaking question i have? i'm trying to use amigabasic and the serial port with no handshaking. it seems that the choice of xon/xoff, cts/rts, none in preferences has no real effect. or to be more precise, xon/off stays engaged no matter what the setting. this is very annoying, as receiving ascii dc3 (decimal 19) locks the damn thing up, ascii dc1 (decimal 17) comes through as a null, and decimal 255 comes through as a null. since i'm trying to transfer cross-assembled code to and from several microcontrollers, it's rather important to be able to send and receive ANY bit pattern. any help would be greatly appreciated. post it or e-mail it. and please, don't say "get a real language!" if you will give me the money, i will! thanks! bitnet: "peg@psuecl
