However, GS's that were manufactured after January of 87 had the new (Rev 01) ROMs in them. You can tell if you have the new ROMs as the startup text screen identifies the ROM as such with an explicit message; it says ROM 01 right at the bottom. I don't know what dealers in LA have the ROMs in stock, but when you do find one, keep in mind that the upgrade is FREE. As for what ROMs you DID get when you had your machine upgraded, I don't know.
