I was told after about a five minute cursory examination that it would need a new motherboard probably and the best thing I could do was send it in to ATARI with $95 dollars and exchange it for another 520. Apperantly the 520 (old model) is no longer produced. This seems fine but I am concerned about getting a ``reconditioned'' 520. Has anyone had bad experiences with the trade in? Would I be better off doing something else (perhaps getting a new mother board from atari and putting it in myself) will I get back what I sent them? I am concerned about sending a computer which worked fine until three days ago to the great computer graveyard at Atari. I would like to hear from anyone who has had experience with this service...
