There are now several books on the HP41 synthetic programming and machine code

software and books.

Some of the books on the above subjects include:

1. Synthetic Programming on the HP41C by Willian C. Wickes (the original book)
2. Synthetic Programming Made Easy by Keith Jarrett
3. Advanced Programming Tips for the HP41 by McCornack and Jarrett
4. Extend Your HP41 by Wlodek Mier-Hedrzejowicz
5. Inside the HP41 by Jean-Daniel Dodin
6. HP41 MCODE for Beginners by Ken Emery (all about machine code)

books 1 and 2 are exclusively about synthetic programming, number 6 is 
exclusively about machine code, and the others cover many topics. Extend
your HP41 is by far the most general and covers just about every topic
possible, and is probably a "must get" book.
