Lines: 13 The major commerical package is the MKS toolkit. It's a reasonably complete set of Unix utilities, for around $130. It includes ksh, awk, vi, tar, etc. Most people (including me) seem to like it. There are lots of random utilities floating around on the net. The most complete seems to be picnix. It is shareware, but is considerably less expensive than MKS. It has a few dozen utilities, and doesn't have major things like shell, awk, or vi that MKS does. It has also had minor bugs now and then, depending upon the version. But it does provide Unix replacements for most of the MS/DOS commands, and for many purposes is sufficient. MKS is from Mortice Kern in Waterloo, Ont. Picnix has been posted to the net several times, so look for archives for the PC binary groups. I don't have it online anymore since I got MKS, so I don't have any more information.
