Message-ID: <439@edsel.UUCP> Date: 3 Oct 88 15:16:33 GMT Organization: AT&T Bell Laboratories, Liberty Corner Lines: 19 Does anyone know how to obtain a Mac Plus version of the popular UNIX system "vi" editor? I know that a vi-like editor is distributed with the more expensive versions of the Manx C compiler, but I'm not interested in the compiler and, besides, the Manx version of vi that ran on DOS systems (called "z") was too stripped down to be attractive. I have a very complete version of vi for DOS systems called MKS-vi that is manufactured by Mortice Kern Systems, but unfortunately they claim to have no plans to port their product to the Mac. I love the Mac interface for document processing, but for composing straight text (perhaps for subsequent processing by a more Mac-ish application), I just can't beat vi.
