I believe that it was mentioned in the past, but I'm sure many missed the note: the SUM (Symantec Utilities - Macintosh) patches and the INITs are only intended for those folk who have purchased the SUM commercial package. E.g., you will not be able to restore any files with the Shield INIT without using the utilities included in SUM. So if you think the INITs look useful (and they are), go out and buy SUM.
