Message-ID: <3247@emory.uucp> Date: 5 Oct 88 15:57:42 GMT Organization: Math & Computer Science, Emory University, Atlanta Lines: 18 I have a Sun that uses a 17" Sony Trinitron monitor. The connections are by BNC connectors for r/g/b/sync. On the otherhand the standard Apple MacII color monitor is a smaller Sony Trinitron which also uses r/g/b/sync but with a specialized cabling scheme. The difference in cabling is enough to keep me from trying it, but I wonder if the MacII video card would drive the Sun Sony monitor. The Sun surely drives it with a higher scan rate, but I wonder if there is enough range in the Sony to accomodate the slower MacII scan rate. Anyone know? -- Ken Mandelberg | km@mathcs.emory.edu PREFERRED Emory University | {decvax, gatech}!emory!km UUCP Dept of Math and CS | km@emory NON-DOMAIN BITNET Atlanta, GA 30322 | Phone: (404) 727-7963
