Message-ID: <807@mace.cc.purdue.edu> Date: 5 Oct 88 18:01:44 GMT Reply-To: ajq@mace.cc.purdue.edu (John O'Malley) Organization: Purdue University Computing Center Lines: 20 I want my plain old beep back! As you know, System 6.0 incorporates some new features sound-wise. We get to choose between a monkey, boing, clink-klank, and what they call a "simple" beep sound for our system beep. In a nutshell, these don't sound all that hot on my Mac Plus. They sound great on the office Mac II, marginal on a Mac SE (but only because the speaker's in front), but mostly bad on my Plus at home. How can I get back the plain old unadorned beep? I want the system beep to sound just like a Mac Plus's startup beep, like it used to. But I still want to use System 6.0. Is it possible?
