The favorites around here are Expressionist (Secretaries won't use anything
else) and MathType (my personal favorite.  I think it's more logically
laid out).

But for relatively simple things, the math formatting built into Word is OK.
But because it has rather strict formatting rules, it gets a little hard
to handle as the expressions become more complex.
