Lines: 12 Mice that spend their life running directly on a desk or other surface that is waxed will pick up wax on its rollers over time. This causes it not to roll smoothly. You can easily fix this by removing the ball from the bottom of the mouse and scraping the wax off of the three rollers with your fingernail. You need to rotate the rollers as you do this so that you can get all the gunk off. I roll my mouse on a mousepad, and it has solved this problem.
