Message-ID: <3235@utastro.UUCP> Date: 11 Oct 88 08:42:06 GMT Organization: U. Texas, Astronomy, Austin, TX Lines: 16 has anyone figured out a way to copy files/folders in the background. I sometimes copy a floppy to the HD (and vice-versa) and would like to be able to go on doing other things at the same time. Of course, the drag-copy in the (Multi)Finder does not allow you to do other things, and I can't think of a DA or other utility that does. I've considered using StuffIt instead, as it does work in the background ... maybe StuffIt needs a "plain-copy" option without any compression?! maybe then someone at Apple will have the BRIGHT IDEA to buy StuffIt and bundle it with release 7.0 of the OS. -- --------------------> PREFERED-RETURN-ADDRESS-FOLLOWS <--------------------- (ARPA) werner@rascal.ics.utexas.edu (Internet: 128.83.144.1) (INTERNET) werner%rascal.ics.utexas.edu@cs.utexas.edu (UUCP) ..!utastro!werner or ..!uunet!rascal.ics.utexas.edu!werner
