Could anyone please post a brief definition/functional description of TRANSPUTERfor me (a novice)?  I've been following the articles in this newsgroup with someinterest, but so far haven't quite figured out whether it's about interrupt-driven parallel processors, connectionist machines, accelerator boards or whatnot.
